About the role | Mō te tūranga:

• Our Patient Services Department is responsible for the collection of blood samples, Point of Care testing, storage of blood bank products, and handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, urine, tissue etc from patients within the community and the hospital. These samples are then processed and tested in our medical laboratory.
• Our Phlebotomists are fully trained to provide excellent customer service and high-quality care to our patients.
• We are looking for 2X Casual Trainees/Phlebotomists to join our team to support as and when required. You will be working between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during weekdays.
• Provide professional customer service, and serve as a link between health professionals, their patients, and the laboratory.

Previous Phlebotomy experience is not essential if you have: 

• A positive and friendly approach to your work and demonstrate cultural and social sensitivity.
• Compassion for others, including a real desire to provide high-quality care to a wide variety of patients of all ages and circumstances.
• Excellent customer service skills including a high level of personal presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow processes accurately, even when under pressure.
• Good computer skills.
• Reliable transport and full Driver's license.
• Eligibility to work in NZ.
