The recently unveiled 62km extension between Lawrence and Waihola, inaugurated on August 25th, 2023,  connects the existing network of trails in Central Otago and Clutha with a cycle path heading towards the East Coast.

From whichever end you chose to start, this trail offers a real rural heartland experience combined with a wealth of history.  Pass through captivating landscapes, farmland, the bustling town of Milton, quaint settlements such as Waitahuna and Lawrence, a historic gold mining town echoing the pioneering spirit.
