Team Leader - Cold Chain

The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance, and safety of a team within their area of responsibility of the warehouse. This role is essential in assisting your team with delivering warehouse & distribution activities on time, in spec and to the highest quality.

This role is Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work expected during the peak season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train, coach and mentor members of your team to achieve departmental goals, maintain compliance and assist them with growing their careers.
• Plan weekly/daily work requirements in conjunction with the Group Leader and communicate those to your team
• Learn to understand internal and external food safety and quality requirements, and how these apply to your team
• Build an uncompromising safety culture within your team
• Champion continuous improvement and encourage team members to find new ideas to improve work practices

About You

The successful candidate will be experienced in warehouse best practice within a large-scale distribution environment, experience with perishable goods or within the food manufacturing industry is advantageous but not essential. Previous leadership experience is desirable, but not essential. You must have a willingness to learn and develop

• Experience in warehouse & distribution
• Strong communication skills
• Be a high performer with a positive attitude, focused on continuous improvement
• Proficient computer literacy
• Solutions focused problem solving in a fast-paced environment
