FRIDAY/SATURDAY
Friday riders - arrival at Maungatua Run from 11am. Riding out at approx. 1.00 for a 3-4hr ride. BYO lunch. Friday
supper is included in your registration fee.
Saturday riders are encouraged to arrive on Friday evening as we’ll be aiming for an 8.00am start. Supper available
(6.30-8.30) for $15 for those arriving on Fri evening (pay on the night). Saturday breakfast included in your trek fee.
Saturday ride will start and finish at Maungatua Run and we will relocate to Lawrence Gymkhana Grounds after the
ride. Directions for a shorter route (via Waipori) and longer route (easier drive) will be sent via email. Expect a
50min to 1.5hr drive depending on which route you choose to take.
SUNDAY
Sunday riders are encouraged to join us at Lawrence Gymkhana Grounds on Saturday evening for dinner (6.30pm)
followed by raffles and a live band + a cooked breakfast before riding out on Sunday morning (order meals at extra
cost as per registration form).
9am ride out for a 3hr trek, returning in time to get involved with our annual gymkhana day events if you choose
(enter on the day). Lunch available to buy from the Lawrence Lions food van or pop into town to support our local
shops/cafés/pub.
GENERAL INFO
Full trek fee (3-days $200) includes all meals. Please check registration form for meals included for 1 or 2 day
registrations. Saturday only or Sunday only riders can order Sat dinner ($45) and/or Sunday breakfast ($15).
You are welcome to bring family/guests for dinner & brekkie - option to order extra meals on the registration form.
BYO plates, cutlery, tea towel etc.
BYO drinks or purchase from Lawrence Four Square or Coach & Horses.
Sat night raffle - please bring cash for raffle tickets ($2 per ticket).
We recommend that horses have shoes or well-fitted boots as terrain will be varied. If planning to ride barefoot
please email us in advance to discuss.
Group paddocks or BYO fencing.
No dogs allowed.
Maungatua Run is a horse stud so please take extra precautions:
• DO NOT bring horses that have any symptoms of sickness, coughing etc.
• Ensure that your horses are up to date with worming/FEC.
• No stallions permitted.
Heavier loads and/non-4WD vehicles may struggle to get up the steep driveway at Maungatua Run. There will be a
drop off paddock by the house to unload horses so you can drive on up to the yards empty. Horse trucks should
be fine
