Government Track

Government Track is a 17 km return journey, 4-5 hour advanced tramping walk, or intermediate grade mountain bike. Walk through the Waipori Valley, filled with beech and manuka trees.

Note: the track can be muddy and stinging nettles are present.

Follow Waipori Falls Road off State Highway 1 (SH1), you will have to drive the last 1km on a gravel road to access the car park.
