Black Gully
Named after the dark soil that lines its path, Black Gully is a 2km, five-hour return walk at the northern end of Blue Mountains, climbing through beech forest with views over the surrounding farmlands. Let the kids play in the historic park at the trailhead or enjoy a picnic before heading inland. For the quintessential Kiwi camping experience, stay at the local Black Gully Domain in the campsite or in rustic bush huts. From here you can start the Black Gully walk or the longer 14-kilometre hike linking Black Gully to Whisky Gully in the South.
